Raw & Vegan Chocolate Flapjacks

Are you looking for an indulgent, decadent and easy to make super healthy treat? Look no further! Look at these delicious chocolate flapjacks, yummy! Using raw ingredients makes the nutritional value of these bars superb as you are using ingredients in their natural state.

You will need:

200g oats
80g pitted dates
40g pecans
40g walnuts
2tbsp natural whole peanut butter
3tbsp coconut oil
1.5tbsp raw cacao powder
1tsp vanilla essence
2tbsp pure maple syrup

For topping:
1tsp raw cacao powder
1tbsp melted coconut oil

Directions:
1. Blend all flapjack ingredients in a food processor until combined
2. Place in a lined 6×6 inch baking tin and press mixture down until it’s flat and even
3. Freeze flapjacks for around an hour until solid
4. Mix the melted coconut oil & cacao until it makes a chocolate sauce, then drizzle over the bars
5. Re-set in the freezer or fridge until the melted ‘chocolate’ has set
6. Ensure bars are firm. Remove them from the fridge/freezer then slice into 8 bars, keep refrigerated
