Good morning! I love Sundays. Sundays are certainly a day of rest for me. Sundays are a day to get creative, explore new things and enjoy the comforts that surround me. This morning was slightly chilly (autumn is definitely here in the UK!) so I wanted something warming for breakfast, with a hint of naughtiness as it’s the weekend. Here is the recipe for my yummy vegan breakfast bowl!
You will need:
2tbsp quinoa flakes
2tbsp oat bran
1/2tbsp raw cacao powder
200ml almond milk (plus more when cooking)
1/4 banana, sliced thinly
6 whole almonds
A sprinkle of chia seeds, buckwheat groats and goji berries to decorate
1. Cook the quinoa flakes, oat bran and cacao in a saucepan over a medium heat in the almond milk. When thickened, add more milk and cook for a further few minutes.
2. Pour into a medium sized bowl and top with slices banana, strawberries, almonds, and other toppings! Enjoy.
