Good morning! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful weekend, and any slip-ups have been forgotten about and you’re all ready to get back on track and focus on clean and healthy eating!
This smoothie is packed full of blueberries which are a low-GI berry, meaning that your blood sugar spike isn’t likely to be as high as it would be if you chose a banana or an apple instead. This smoothie also contains avocado which is a fantastic source of healthy fatty acids which are essential for your body to be able to burn fat! I’ve also included chia seeds which are a great protein source, as well as spinach which is a great protein and mineral source! Delicious.
Here’s what you’ll need:
1 handful of spinach
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp quinoa flakes
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder (I use My Protein UK)
1 cup cold water
1. Pop all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth! Serve over ice and drink immediately.
