It’s getting a little chilly outside as autumn is definitely upon us, which tends to mean cravings for sweet, warm and homely treats to keep us satisfied! This is exactly why I came up with this delicious chocolate biscuit recipe. I love tucking into something naughty when the nights get darker, the air gets colder and the days get shorter, but I’m often conscious that these little treats can build up and you can end up eating way too much! Oopsie. Well luckily for you, these biscuits are completely healthy and ever so good for you! Hoorah for cacao!
To make 3 biscuits, you will need:
40g ground almonds
1tsp raw cacao powder
1tsp solid coconut oil
1.5tbsp honey/maple syrup/rice syrup
1/4tsp ground ginger
1. Pre-heat the oven to 180’C (fan)
2. Melt the coconut oil
3. Add all ingredients to a bowl and combine until they form a dough mixture
4. Scoop the mixture into 3 even blobs on a baking tray, flatten them down, and bake in the oven for 10 minutes
5. Remove the biscuits from the oven and leave to COOL for at least 15 minutes! It will be very tempting to pop them back in the oven, or to prod and poke them, but you MUST leave them in the baking tray to cook where they will harden 🙂 enjoy!
